CANADIAN CENTER FOR CULTURAL DIPLOMACY (CCCD)

  1. Terms and Privacy Policy

    By submitting an application form to participate in any event, program, or activity organized by the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD), I (the applicant) confirm that I have read, understood, and fully agreed to the following Terms and Privacy Policy. The submission of my application form serves as legal acknowledgment of my acceptance of these terms under the laws of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.

     

    1. Voluntary Participation

    I confirm that I am completing and submitting the application form entirely voluntarily, without any coercion, pressure, or assistance from CCCD staff, its members, or any third parties.

    2. Non-Refundable Application Fee

    I acknowledge that a fee is required for the review of my application. This payment covers administrative processing only and does not guarantee selection or participation. I understand and agree that the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
    Legal reference: British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, which permits non-refundable service fees where clearly disclosed.

     

    3. Authenticity of Documents

    I certify that all information and documents I have provided are true, accurate, and complete. I understand that any false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in the immediate rejection of my application or revocation of my participant status.

    4. Review and Selection Process

    I understand that CCCD will conduct a fair and impartial review of my application. I agree to respect and accept the final decision made by CCCD’s selection committee and will not dispute or challenge it.
    Legal reference: Canadian Administrative Law principles of fairness and discretion.

     

    5. Consent to Information Verification

    I authorize CCCD to verify any information or documents I have provided. If necessary, CCCD may contact individuals or organizations named in my application or supporting documents to confirm the authenticity and accuracy of the information provided.
    Legal reference: Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA, British Columbia) – permits consent-based information verification.

     

    6. Confidentiality and Data Usage

    CCCD commits to safeguarding my personal data and documents. My information will be used solely for the purposes of reviewing my application, participant verification, and compliance with legal obligations.
    I consent that CCCD may contact third parties named in my documents exclusively to confirm the accuracy of the provided information.
    Legal reference: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, Federal) and PIPA (BC).

     

    7.Official Communication Channels

    I acknowledge that all official communications with CCCD will be conducted exclusively through email addresses associated with the cccd.ca domain and CCCD’s official social media accounts.
    I understand and accept that due to the high volume of calls, phone contact may not always be available. However, I am aware that communication via info@cccd.ca is always accessible.
    I accept responsibility for checking my email regularly and responding promptly. I also agree to approach any email delays or technical issues with understanding and will not dispute them.

     

    8. Waiver of Claims

    I agree not to pursue any legal claims or demands against CCCD or its members concerning the selection process, outcomes, or related decisions.
    Additionally, I agree not to disclose or publicize any confidential correspondence or internal decisions of CCCD on social media or other public platforms without explicit written consent.
    Legal reference: Defamation Act (British Columbia) and general confidentiality obligations under Canadian Tort Law.

     

    9. Code of Conduct and Protection of CCCD’s Reputation

    I agree not to share any false, unverified, or misleading information about CCCD or its members on any platform. I understand that making defamatory or damaging statements may result in civil liability.
    Legal reference: Canadian Defamation Law and freedom of expression limitations under the Charter (Section 1).

     

    10. Force Majeure and Program Changes

    I understand that CCCD reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, or modify events due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or logistical challenges. Any changes will prioritize the best interests of the majority of participants.

     

    11. Rejection or Revocation of Application

    If I breach these Terms or present unreasonable demands that hinder the progress of the program, CCCD reserves the right to reject my application or revoke my participant status. This applies even if I have already been selected as a participant.

    12. Confidentiality of Correspondence

    I acknowledge that all communications with CCCD are confidential. I agree not to share, forward, or disclose such communications to third parties without CCCD’s prior written consent.
    I understand that any breach of confidentiality may lead to legal consequences under Canadian privacy and confidentiality laws.

     

    13. Jurisdiction

    All matters related to these Terms and Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

    By submitting my application, I confirm that I have read, understood, and fully accepted the above Terms and Privacy Policy.
