“Global Governance: Secrets of Effective Communication, Modern Protocol, and Etiquette” Masterclass Successfully Concluded
On June 1, 2025, the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) successfully hosted its international Masterclassat the prestigious Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott Bonvoy. The event brought together aspiring diplomats, professionals, and international relations enthusiasts to explore the evolving landscape of global governance, diplomatic protocol, and intercultural communication.
The Masterclass was skillfully moderated by Muzhda Akbari, a student at the University of Toronto and a respected Board Member of the CCCD. Her poised and articulate facilitation contributed greatly to the engaging flow of the event and the meaningful exchange between speakers and participants.
Among the distinguished speakers was Mr. Alejandro Neyra, former Minister of Culture of Peru, diplomat, writer, and former Permanent Delegate of Peru to UNESCO. Drawing on his extensive diplomatic and cultural experience, Mr. Alejandro delivered a
compelling keynote on the role of culture in international relations, the importance of diplomatic etiquette, and the nuances of soft power in shaping global policy. His presentation provided insightful perspectives and was highly praised by participants for its depth and clarity.
Also featured was Dr. Dilshad Dayani, UN Consultant, Professor of Strategic Communication and Adaptive Negotiation at Columbia University, and award-winning leadership and social impact strategist. With over 30 years of experience in civic
engagement, media, and citizen diplomacy, Dr. Dayani led a powerful and interactive session on effective communication, modern protocol practices, and leadership through cultural intelligence. Her approach combined real-world case studies with practical techniques, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.
