About us

The Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) is Canada’s cultural diplomacy organization, operating as a non-governmental organization (NGO). Established in January 2023 and certified under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, the center aims to promote various cultural experiences and exchanges of ideas, presenting the diversity of Canadian culture to the global community. Alongside showcasing the richness of Canadian culture, it supports the development of international cultural relations.

CCCD

The CCCD promotes values of equality, tolerance, and cultural belonging.Through embassies, consulates, international cultural organizations, schools, universities, and other relevant institutions, the CCCD works to promote Canadian culture in fields such as culture, literature, arts, and others. Among the center’s activities are various cultural research, organizing exhibitions, festivals, and concerts, establishing cultural centers, and managing cultural diplomacy projects.

Ahmet Eren Koç

Chairman of the Board

Ahmet Eren Koç is a researcher with a passion for history, politics, and international relations. He embarked on his academic journey at Istanbul Şehir University, where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in History with a double major in Political Science and International Relations. He pursued graduate studies with a focus on intellectual history culminating in the completion of a Master’s degree at Sabancı University and Trinity College Dublin in 2023. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in the History Department at the University of Toronto, delving deeper into his academic interests exploring intersections of empire, identity and historiography and contributing to the field through his research. Alongside his academic pursuits, Ahmet has actively engaged in academic communities, serving as a Committee Secretary in the Interdisciplinary Research Committee at ISAM from 2020 to 2022. He continues to seek innovative to engage with the academic and NGO communities, fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration aimed at enhancing communication and advancing shared goals.
